About this site

Church Supply is an independent catalogue of church goods for parishes. It is organised like a traditional church supply house: by department, then by use. The site sells nothing itself.

Why this exists

A parish buys from a short, repeating list: altar bread, candles, incense, linens, a replacement cruet, a new alb for a deacon, a missal for a second chapel. Church supply houses sort that list by use, so a purificator sits beside a corporal and not beside a tablecloth. Large online marketplaces do not. The same items are there, often from the same makers, but spread across hundreds of unrelated categories.

This site puts them back in order. Nine departments and fifty categories mirror the layout of a supply house. Each category holds a handful of products that are actually meant for church use, with the maker's own specifications and a direct link to the product listing.

How items are chosen

  • The item must be made for church or devotional use, not a decorative lookalike.
  • Where a known church-goods maker is available, that maker is preferred: Cathedral Candle, Will & Baumer, Emkay, Cavanagh, Broadman, Sudbury Brass, Autom, R.J. Toomey, Murphy Robes, Religious Supply Center, Catholic Book Publishing, Joseph's Studio, Fontanini and others.
  • Each category tries to cover the real choices a buyer faces: sizes, counts, materials and price tiers, rather than seven variants of one product.
  • Items that are discontinued, sold only used, or wrongly described are left out. Listings change, so some items may become unavailable between site updates.

Product names, photographs, bullet points and specifications come from the retailer's product listing. The short description and the note on what each item is best for are written for this site from that data. Nothing is invented: where a maker publishes little, the page says little.

What the site does not do

There are no prices on these pages. Online prices change daily, and a static page would show stale figures, so every product links to the live listing where the current price, sizes and seller are shown.

There are no reviews or ratings here either, and no claims about quality beyond what the maker states. The buying guides explain what the terms on a label mean so that a buyer can judge for themselves.

This site is not affiliated with any manufacturer, with any retailer beyond the affiliate programme described below, or with any church supply retailer.

How the site is paid for

Church Supply is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When a visitor follows a product link and buys from the retailer, the site receives a small commission from the retailer. The buyer pays the same price. The full statement is on the affiliate disclosure page.

Corrections

If a product is listed in the wrong category, a specification is wrong, or an item no longer exists, the listing will be corrected at the next update. The site is rebuilt from current product data on a regular schedule.
